Every Child Counts

Every Child Counts
'Every Child Counts' is a Citizens’ Campaign initiated by NGO Door Step School (www.doorstepschool.org) in Pune, in the year 2011. The objective of this campaign is to take benefits of Right To Education (RTE) Act to the needy children between 6 and 14 years age, mostly from underprivileged communities in Pune. The campaign is designed to be run by citizen volunteers in their respective areas across the city. Campaign starts with survey of children away from school and continues through their school admissions and follow-up for regular attendance, in line with the RTE Act. Apart from individual citizen volunteers, Door Step School has partnered with several corporates, institutes, and social groups in Pune, to conduct the campaign activities across Pune city and surrounding areas.
